I personally have a daith piercing and noticed immediate results. It didn’t solve my problem completely but there is a noticeable lessening of pain on the side of my head where the piercing is located.

Once the piercing has healed completely you most likely will be able to forget about it and leave it alone. But until it has healed it is best to keep a close eye on it

Clean Your Ear Before Getting the Piercing

The first thing you want to do is to completely clean your ear before going to get the piercing done.

Clean The Piercing Daily

After you have gotten your daith piercing done, you will want to leave it alone for the first one to two days. This is when it is going to bleed the most and be more painful.

After the first or second day, you will need to start cleaning the area at least once a day. You can clean it up to three times a day depending on how it is acting.

The best way to clean your piercing is with a mild solution of sea salt and warm water. The most effective way to do this is to soak a cotton ball in the water and hold it to your ear for a few minutes at a time.

As you do this, you will be able to slowly clean away any dried blood. Do not pick at the blood or you will cause more bleeding.

Do this everyday until the piercing has completely healed and is no longer painful or bleeding.

Leave it Alone

Throughout the healing process it is extremely important that you leave the piercing alone! Try to avoid touching it or playing with it.

Try to simply keep your hands away from your ear. Touching it too much can not only irritate it but can introduce infection causing bacteria to the piercing.

Once the area has completely healed you can be much less strict. Once it’s completely healed and closed up it won’t be as vulnerable to bacteria.

Migraines can be caused by bright lights or be further irritated by their presence. They can even be caused by overly bright lights if you are sensitive enough to them.

Try to avoid staring at bright phone, laptop, or computer lights or dim the lighting. Put curtains over harshly lit windows and wear sunglasses on bright days.

There are many creative ways that you can soften the lighting in your home in order to prevent lighting related migraine headaches.

Be Aware of Triggers

Sometimes migraines are caused by triggers that we might have to certain things in our life.

These triggers could be anything from certain foods to noises to certain strong smells. The good thing is that these triggers can be avoided once you are aware of them.

If you suspect that your migraines might be caused by a trigger related to food. Try keeping a food diary or tracker to track your migraines and diet.

If you think it is a noise or alarm on your phone, make the noise less loud or find a different alert.

Whatever you think your trigger is, try to prevent it from happening. This will help you to take more control over your migraines and prevent them more often.
